I am passionate about providing quality mental health services to individuals and couples. Through my warm and active approach, clients are empowered to find self-compassion and reduce suffering. I encourage my clients to clarify their values and commit to living a more positive and balanced life. I incorporate a variety of evidence-based techniques based on your unique needs and your goals for therapy. These techniques may include cognitive behavioral, positive psychology, mindfulness, and values-based interventions. With therapy, many clients are able to find a greater sense of purpose and meaning in their lives. In my own life, I try to embody those values by practicing mindfulness and gratitude for the good in life.

I completed training at University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC), and with the counties of Alameda and San Francisco. I am grateful for this valuable knowledge and training- it informs my work every day!

I am dedicated to providing a safe place where we can work through your experiences together. I understand that it is a privilege to bear witness to your vulnerability, so I will support you with compassion and a strengths-based approach. You are the expert in your life and my goal is to listen and help you identify the patterns or behaviors you have developed throughout your life that no longer serve you. I work from a psychodynamic-relational approach, which involves developing an understanding of your past experiences and how they affect the ways in which you navigate your current relationships and the world around you. I also incorporate evidence-based practices in my work, such as CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and mindfulness. I have experience working with people who are struggling with daily stressors, transitions, relationships, depression, anxiety, PTSD, addiction, and social justice/oppression. I enjoy working with folks from culturally diverse backgrounds, including gender expression, sexual orientation, and immigration status. This is an inclusive space and you are welcome as you are. I look forward to supporting you in your healing process.

I am a licensed clinical psychologist providing compassionate evidence-based psychotherapy to adults and adolescents. This work is a life calling to me and I am passionate about helping clients quiet the self-critic that lives inside us all. My clients learn how to practice self-compassion and use mindfulness to cope with the challenges in life.  I specialize in helping people with difficulties like anxiety, depression and stress. I use an integrative approach to therapy that incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), mindfulness, relaxation and acceptance (ACT) strategies. My style is often experienced as warm, thoughtful and collaborative.

I completed training at University of California, San Diego (UCSD), Rady Children’s Hospital, San Diego and in Primary Care offering integrated behavioral health. I am a trained Mindfulness teacher through the UCSD Center for Mindfulness and I practice mindfulness and self-compassion in my everyday life. I look forward to collaborating with you; it is truly a privilege for me to sit with people in times of healing, growth and change.
